– This was one of my first acrylic paintings on canvas. I found the reference when I was looking for gothic aesthetics and I loved the melancholic, dark but still soft, magical expression. The violin is a wonderful instrument and I liked how the girl in the picture is playing it during a full moon in that beautiful dress. I still like the painting, aside from the clouds. They turned out too thick and strong, I think.
I mainly painted with white and paynes grey and only a bit blue. That´s an aspect I really like, because I love the fact that you can create something really complex, diverse and expressive with so little.
