– Actually an untypical artwork for me, but it was time and an opportunity to broaden my horizons and practice. I think, it was the first time I painted something I directly see instead of using photos or artworks as references and I needed a bit of assistance. In the end, the sunflowers looked too out of place and I wanted to add splashes of paint. Purple works well because of the complementary contrast to the yellow of the sunflowers. To make it harmonized I also painted the shadow purple.
